The most ancient ''Dufour'' armouries we found were composed as follows: on a blue background, with silver strips from the left top extremityto the right bottomextremity.
The armouries adopted since 1989 by the association of the Family Dufour of America inc. are composed as follows: on a blue backgroung, a yellow superior strip is decorated of silver crescents while the bottom part of the shield is decorated of a golden chevron stripe surrounded of three silver stars, one in the lower angle of the chevron, the two another ones placed on the superior sides right and left of the chevron. According to Les Planches l'Armorial Général de J.B. Rectatrop by H.V. Rolland, Vol. 1, 1938, these armouries were those of Barons of the empire of France.
